The Artists' Lounge is a living space for symbolic art, archetypal encounter and conversation
The Artist’s Lounge is a developing gallery and salon concept to run as a stand alone and/or in conjunction with conferences, events concerned with consciousness, symbolism, mythology and the greater patterns through which we understand our lives.
For example, astrology has always spoken through images where planets become gods, constellations become stories, and abstract movements in the heavens are translated into symbols through which we can contemplate the movements of the psyche, culture and time. Yet within many contemporary astrology events, visual art remains strangely peripheral, displayed in passing rather than encountered as part of the living language of astrology itself.
The Artist’s Lounge is conceived as an answer to that absence.
More than an exhibition space, it is intended to become a gathering place within the gathering: somewhere to pause between lectures, spend time with an image, meet artists and thinkers, enter into conversation, or simply sit quietly while something less easily expressed in words begins to make itself known.
The work presented arise from archetype, myth, dream, ritual, sacred geometry, the natural world, contemplative practice or the mysterious exchange between image and imagination. What connects it is not a single style, tradition or belief, but an understanding that images can do more than decorate or explain. They can alter attention, awaken memory, reveal patterns and bring us into relationship with parts of ourselves that language alone cannot always reach.

Depending upon the event, The Artist’s Lounge might include:
A curated exhibition of symbolic and archetypal art
Featured artists and intimate conversations about their work
Short talks exploring art, astrology, mythology and consciousness
Guided encounters with individual images
Poetry, storytelling and acoustic performance
Quiet periods for contemplation and visual meditation
Limited-edition prints, books and artist publications
Collaborative works created in response to an astrological moment or event theme
The intention is not to create another marketplace or conventional conference room. It is to create an atmosphere, a place of beauty and depth in which art is allowed to become an experience.
The beginning of a larger vision
The Artist’s Lounge is currently in development as both a physical event space and an expanding platform for artists whose work engages meaningfully with symbol, archetype, consciousness and the imaginal world.
Its first form may be modest: a carefully curated gallery within a larger event, and hopefully over time, grow into a programme of exhibitions, conversations, contemplative encounters and collaborations, travelling between conferences while developing a life and community of its own.
